Hi! I’m Annelotte, a 29-year-old Dutchie with a passion for languages, cultures, and people. For the past several years, I’ve worked in emergency aid across different countries—and wherever I went, I picked up bits of the local language. From studying Kiswahili at university to taking French and Spanish lessons (thanks to travel and love!), I’ve discovered that language is not only a tool—it’s a gateway to connection.

I love helping others take those same steps. When I’m not teaching or learning languages, you’ll find me walking in nature, chatting over coffee, or planning my next travel adventure.

I’ve taught English to children, teenagers, and adults in refugee camps in Greece and Bangladesh. I completed a TEFL certification with a focus on young learners and designed lessons for beginners with very different learning backgrounds. My teaching style is supportive and adaptable: I plan our sessions based on your goals, your pace, and what makes you feel confident to speak.

When it comes to Dutch, I’ve naturally gained experience teaching beginners through day-to-day life—especially with my non-Dutch-speaking partner. Helping someone go from zero to holding a real-life conversation, with humor and patience, is something I truly enjoy.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or want to improve your Dutch through casual conversation, I’m here to support you. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and excited about learning—no pressure, no perfection, just steady progress and real connection.
