Hello! I’m Midori, a certified Japanese teacher living in Spain.

I’ve traveled to over 40 countries and love connecting with people from different cultures.

I speak English and Bahasa Melayu, and I’m currently learning Spanish—so I understand the challenges of learning a new language!

Let’s enjoy learning Japanese in a relaxed and interactive way.

I hold a 420-hour Japanese Language Teaching Certificate.

I currently teach JLPT preparation classes online and have been supporting one student for over two years.

I also have experience teaching Japanese to children in Malaysia, and I’m skilled in beginner group lessons.

Extremely helpful and kind! She is always patient if I don’t remember something. She also teaches in a way that is suited for the student.she really listens to what is helpful for you and what isn’t. I would definitely recommend for anyone with very entry level Japanese knowledge. She also gives some history and cultural explanations behind words and phrases which can be helpful when remembering.

Midori's has taken her time to record the words we have been practicing, and this has made revision so much easier. Midori has a great personality upbeat, inquisitive and is tailoring our lessons so I can achieve my goals.

My specialties

Conversational Japanese

I have conducted conversation-focused lessons using role-plays and quizzes for two years.

Japanese for beginners

I taught Japanese conversation classes for beginners in Malaysia, with a group of seven students. After one year, they became able to hold basic everyday conversations.

JLPT

For JLPT preparation, I have been teaching international students online using the “Minna no Nihongo” textbook. I have two years of experience in this area.

Japanese for children

I provided online Japanese supplementary lessons for six months to a child of mixed Spanish-Japanese heritage living in Spain.

Business Japanese

Before becoming a Japanese teacher, I worked for a Japanese company in Japan for eight years. I have experience in sales, marketing, and sustainability departments. Thanks to this background, I can also teach business Japanese, including practical conversation and role-plays for professional settings.
