About me

Hello, myself Satabdi. I am a Hindi teacher born and raised in India. I have done Masters in Hindi, Masters in English and Bachelors in Education. At present, I am pursuing a PhD in Hindi and my topic is Phonetics. I have more than 16yrs of experience in schools and tutoring and a few years in online teaching. My students are from different countries and of different ages. My teaching style is very simple and easy to adapt to and within a month you will not only be able to speak but also able to read. This review is long overdue!! I had a few classes with other tutors who were trying to teach me Hindi in traditional way, by explaining letters first. Then I found Satabdi. She creates individual lessons for each student based on his/her needs and goals. She is extremely good at explaining different topics and rules in a simple, easy to remember way, so that I can understand better. After 2 classes when she had already explained the sentence construction I was able to translate simple sentences into Hindi. Satabdi is very professional at her work, takes it very seriously, she is very caring, patient in explaining things if I don't get it the first time. I am extremely happy with her and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone who is interested in learning Hindi. I found my tutor and also gained a friend as well. Dhanyavad

Genuinely a transformative teacher, Satabdi took me from COMPLETE beginner to able to speak to my in-laws in just a few months of lessons. Her methodology of layering and splicing vocab into simple sentence structure made it possible for me to illicit real joy from my wife's father as I put together simple questions/answers on this last trip. They speak almost no English, so that I could talk to them at all speaks volumes of Satabdi's skill, patience and technique. When I return to the states, will 100% be continuing my lessons towards proficiency. Thank you Satabdi Ji, you have made a huge difference in my life. If you are contemplating taking lessons with her, I promise it's the right decision. Conversing with her us really fun, and totally has changed my experience of the country, and this is my fifth trip to Delhi! But it's never been as enjoyable as it is now. 11/10!

I have had a few lessons with Satabdi so far and I already have too many good things to say! I genuinely look forward to every class now because they are so enjoyable, well structured, and well taught. I love how they are built on understanding, not translation. Satabdi is also super patient, kind and happy to answer any questions you may have. Her passion for teaching shines through. This is exactly what I hoped for in a class. I really come out of each class moving closer to being a fluent Hindi speaker, and that makes me so excited for the future. I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful tutor and friend!

Great teacher +Great personality= great learning experience. S has the ability to teach from any age/ experience and makes you feel good about your progress and will happily sit with you through repeated mistakes and help you to find your way. Really look forward to class and appreciate the kind but firm/informative approach. I make my own notes from the noted that she writes for me for me which helps my style of learning. Have recommended to many friends, keep in mind I am very used to learning languages and can confidently say you get back what you put in, but with S its easy to be enthusiastic about the work

Satabdi is a real gem when it comes to tutors! She is extremely knowledgeable and professional while also being kind and down-to-earth. Her classes are beautifully structured as to ensure that you develop an understanding and structure of the language. She is motivating and her passion for teaching is clearly visible. As a beginner Hindi student, please know that Satabdi is deeply patient and understands how to inspire you on your language learning journey. I highly recommend Satabdi to learners of all levels!

It is a great pleasure learning Hindi with Satabdi! She always comes prepared and with lots of enthusiasm to the class. I was a total beginner at Hindi and with Satabdi I learned a good amount of Hindi over just one summer. She broke down the grammar easily for me so that we could quickly move through different tenses. Meanwhile, she adjusted to my speed and learning curve. So I could practice and improve outside the class, she often prepared practice sentences for me. If you want to learn or improve your Hindi, I highly recommend this teacher!
